Way Back When

In 2010, you probably wouldn't have recognized me... 

I was the COO for a fast-paced global real estate investment company. I easily met 18-hour work days, traveled extensively for live events and VIP meetings, and I wore heels and suits. 

The Miracle

The company restructured, and instead of updating my CV for the first time in many years, I decided to start my own business at last... 

A quietly simmering dream I'd held close to my heart since I was 11 yrs old.

The Big Leap

I took a huge leap of faith... Faith in myself, and faith in my future. 

I took out a personal loan to seed my business, buying myself 3mo breathing space to 'do or die'! 

Inner Flame: Ignited

I'd always wanted to help people around the world in meaningful ways, and I'd been doing that in a way for a few years already. 

However, the shift was different this time: I bet on myself. 

No more comfy corner office, and no more juicy paycheck on the 28th of each month.

New Business #1

I bought a new laptop, registered my first company, and - upon receipt of the legal company documentation - proudly trotted into the bank like a stallion on show day to open the new business bank account!  

My creative entrepreneurial world was officially birthed in the tiny living room of my old garden unit. 

I've been working from home since, and I've never looked back! 

The Raw Truth

I'll be as honest with you as I am with my clients: it’s not always easy. 

No entrepreneurial journey comes prepackaged with flying unicorns and fairy dust. 

It can get really tough out there, especially if you’re a self-funded sole breadwinner with multiple dependents.

The Art of Providership 

If you know, you Know. 

Sales = Income for living, period. 

When you're the provider, everyone depends on you to produce the fruits: your family, employees, parents, kids, and special needs pets. 

You carry a heavy invisible weight that more than half the world's population can't grasp.  

Challenges = Growth 

I went from a humble personal loan against my own name to >5.2M in holdings by 33. 

I had a lucrative business valuation, and an investor knocking at the door to buy equity. 

But I’ve also been all the way down to zero... 

And then even further down to appr. -$45k in bad debt from a personal crisis in year 5...

I've felt completely lost and afraid, ashamed and humiliated. 

I've also cried myself to sleep on more than one occasion when I simply couldn't see the next step. 

The Greatness Grit

No matter the lows, I've also experienced some of the most soul-fulfilling, awe-inspiring joys of my entire life to date!

Despite the curveballs that inevitably show up on an entrepreneurial path, especially for artists and personal brands, I've never stopped investing in my own mentorship, coaching, or studies. 

Most importantly: I've never quit on my dreams, no matter how tempting at times.

That Special Something 

There's something beyond our five senses that happens to those of us who walk the warrior way in life and business... 

And something extra special, typically elusive, that calls us once we've achieved a certain level of financial independence. 

The Priceless Stuff

We quickly learn that no matter how much we've already learned, there's always more to learn about everything.

We quickly learn that having multiple millions in liquid cash in your accounts doesn't necessarily mean 'instant peace of mind'.

We quickly learn that the more you have, the greater the responsibilities, pressures, and obligations.

We quickly learn that failures teach us more than success ever will.

Failure also leaves more clues...

Most entrepreneurs, the highly ambitious kind in particular, very quickly learn that vitality, time, and energy are x3 non-negotiables to building sustainable wealth.

Stickability

Starting a business is the quick, easy part.

Ideas are a dime a dozen, and worth a whopping $0 until acted upon... where consciousness connects to form.

Execution is everything, and that requires moving through challenges as you surpass every limit you imagined for yourself prior to that point.

This is what ultimately defines our character, our future, our income, and our impact.

Eventually, it gets to be easy! 😋
